Free forex statement analyzer

Drop in a MetaTrader statement and see what the numbers really say — returns, drawdown, consistency and where the profit comes from.

Free. No master password. Your data is visible only to you.

Why analyze a statement instead of trusting the headline gain?

A statement shows every trade, deposit and withdrawal, but the terminal report does not tell you whether the result is skill, luck or hidden risk. A 40% gain with a 35% drawdown is a very different account from a 40% gain with a 6% drawdown. Our analyzer separates deposits from trading results, rebuilds the balance and equity curve and calculates the risk metrics that matter when you evaluate a trader, a signal or your own EA.

It works with the statements that MetaTrader exports by default, so there is nothing to install and no broker connection needed.

How the analysis works

How the analyzer works: deposits and withdrawals are separated from trading results before any metric is calculated.

Most mistakes in judging an account come from mixing money that was added with money that was earned. The analyzer first classifies every row of the statement — trades, deposits, withdrawals, credits — and only then rebuilds the balance and equity curve that all metrics are calculated from.

Drawdown first, gain second

PeakTroughMax drawdown(peak − trough) ÷ peakRecovery timeEquity
Maximum drawdown is the deepest fall from a previous peak. Always read the gain together with it.

The single most useful number in any statement is the maximum drawdown. A strategy that doubled the account but dropped 60% on the way is one bad week away from a margin call. Compare the gain with the drawdown, and look at how long the account took to recover from it.

Red flags to look for in a statement

  • Lot size grows after losses — a martingale or averaging system. The curve looks smooth until it doesn’t.
  • Equity far below balance — losing positions are being held open, so the closed-trade results hide the real risk.
  • No stop losses — every trade relies on the market coming back.
  • Very high win rate with a small average win — many small profits, rare but large losses.
  • Deposits during drawdowns — the account was rescued, not profitable.
  • Few trades, huge profit factor — not enough data to tell skill from luck.

The report highlights these patterns through the lot, drawdown and win/loss statistics, so you can spot them in seconds instead of scrolling through hundreds of rows.

Questions

Which statement formats are supported?

MetaTrader 4 detailed reports (.htm/.html), MetaTrader 5 reports (HTML and XLSX) and CSV exports with the usual columns (ticket, open/close time, type, volume, symbol, prices, profit). Files up to 20 MB.

Is the analyzer really free?

Yes. Uploading statements and viewing statistics is free and unlimited. Only the optional strategy reconstruction uses tokens.

Do you need my trading password?

No. A statement file contains no passwords. If you prefer automatic updates, you can connect the account with its read-only investor password instead.

Can I analyze someone else’s statement?

Yes, if you have it — for example a statement a signal provider or account manager sent you. It is a good way to check claims before you invest.
